Before being launched on the market, each batch of superabrasive is carefully submitted to a battery of tests in the laboratory which is certified ISO 9002.

The following physical properties are carefully tested and analyzed:

• size distribution average
• size standard deviation
• shape factor
• shape standard deviation
• eccentricity (computed optical analysis)
• strength (Toughness Index)
• microshipping resistance
• wear resistance
• strength after heat treatment (Thermal Toughness Index)
• microchipping resistance after heat treatment
• thermal stability (based on the weight loss and the TTI/TI ratio)

For each batch, all test results of the above characteristics are computed and, through a mathematical model, a Performance Index is defined.
