boron nitride

Description: AQUA BN is a colloidal dispersion of boron nitride in water. It is a product of Acheson France S.A. It is used as a lubricant and release agent. The boron nitride pigment is the most efficient lubricant for temperatures up to 1000 °C.
Physical properties: Appearance: white liquid
Specific Weight at 20 °C: 1160 kg/m³
Dry Extract at 105 °C: 24,9 %
PH: 11,6
Viscosity (20 °C, 200 trs/min): 200 mPa.s
Application: Aqua BN is applied wherever one wants to obtain refractory and/or anti-sticking surfaces. It has been specially designed to coat the graphite dies of the common hot presses that are used by the diamond tool industry. The boron nitride film acts as a demoulding agent that resists both to temperatures as high as 1000 C and to pressures as high as 350 kg/cm2.
Advantages: Aqua BN is a unique product that offers the following advantages:
  • It resists to thermal shocks.
  • It increases the corrosion resistance of the graphite dies.
  • It reduces drastically the stickiness and facilitates the demoulding operations of the segments.
  • It shows excellent lubrication properties at high temperatures during the hot pressing.
  • It does not react with the metal powders that are hot pressed.
Description: ENDU BN 4479 is a product of Acheson France S.A. It is a colloïdal dispersion of boron nitride in solvants. It is applied by spraying and it plays the role of an anti-sticking agent. In addition, it offers the advantage of being a barrier to metallurgical diffusions.
Physical properties: Aspect: White slightly viscous liquid.
Volumetric weight @ 20 °C: 1100 kg/m³
Viscosity @ 20 °C – 200 rpm: 350 mPas
Contained Solvant: 1-methoxy-2-propyl acetate
Application: ENDU BN 4479 is applied wherever one wants to obtain refractory and/or anti-sticking surfaces. It has been specially designed to coat the graphite dies of the common hot presses that are used by the diamond tool industry. The boron nitride film acts as a demoulding agent that resists both to temperatures as high as 1000 C and to pressures as high as 350 kg/cm2.
Advantages: ENDU BN 4479 is a unique product that offers the following advantages:
  • It resists to thermal shocks (from 500 °C up to 1000 °C).
  • It increases the corrosion resistance of the graphite dies.
  • It reduces drastically the stickiness and facilitates the demoulding operations of pieces.
  • It shows excellent lubrication properties at high temperatures during the hot pressing.
  • It does not react with the metal powders that are hot pressed.
Description: Pulve BND 60 A is a product of Acheson France S.A. that contains boron nitride. When sprayed, the boron nitride acts as a lubricant and forms a refractory film that resists to temperature between 600 and 1000 °C. The film polymerizes under a normal atmosphere within 15 minutes.
Application: Pulve BND 60 is applied wherever one wants to obtain refractory and/or anti-sticking surfaces. Its use is not advised for coating surfaces that are exposed to moisture. It has been specially designed to coat the graphite dies of the common hot presses that are used by the diamond tool industry. The boron nitride film acts as a demoulding agent that resists both to temperatures as high as 1000 C and to pressures as high as 350 kg/cm2.
Advantages: Pulve BND 60 is a unique product that offers the following advantages:
  • It is very easy to use.
  • It resists to thermal shocks.
  • It increases the corrosion resistance of the graphite dies.
  • It reduces drastically the stickiness and facilitates the demoulding operations of the segments.
  • Its shows excellent lubrication properties at high temperatures during the hot pressing.
  • It does not react with the metal powders that are hot pressed.
